Portfolio: The 12 Traditions.

These 12 Traditions are The Spiritual Foundation of our Society.

Trad 1. Our common welfare should come first, personal recovery depends on TIMJAS unity.

Trad 2. For our group purpose there is but one ultimate authority- a loving Higher Power, THE CREATOR JEHOVAH as he expresses himself in our group conscience. Our Leaders are but trusted servants they do not govern.

Trad 3. The only requirements for membership of TIMJAS are a believe, however slight, in a CREATOR who we of TIMJAS call JEHOVAH He Who Causes To Become. and a desire for a New Day and a fresh start one day at a time.

Trad 4. Each group should remain autonomous except in matters affecting other groups or TIMJAS as a whole.

Trad 5. Each group has but one primary purpose - to carry the TIMJAS message to other like minded people who are suffering.

Trad 6. A  TIMJAS group ought never endorse, finance or lend the TIMJAS name to any related facility or outside enterprise, lest problems of money, property and prestege divert us from our primary spiritual aim which is to have a Higher Power, JEHOVAH The Creator in our individual and also Group lives and we pray only for knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry that out one day at a time.

Trad 7. Every TIMJAS group ought to be fully self supporting, declining outside contributions.

Trad 8. TIMJAS should remain forever non - professional, but our service centres may employ special workers.

Trad 9. TIMJAS as such, ought never be organised, but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve.

Trad 10. TIMJAS has no opinion on outside issues, hence the TIMJAS name ought never be drawn into public controversy.

Trad 11. Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion, we need always maintain personal annonymity at the level of press, radio, TV, film.s and all new media technologies such as Internet

Trad 12. Annonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities. Annonymity stresses the equility in the Fellowship of all its members by putting the brake on those who might otherwise exploit their TIMJAS affiliation to achieve recognition, power, or personal gain..
